The Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo went live yesterday and brought you a young Noctis in a bridging story. But it does a lot more than just bridging the gaps, it also shows us how the game fares on Xbox One and PS4 in terms of frame rate comparisons and more.
Just as soon as the demo went live, these guys at VG Tech have held a very detailed Frame Rate Test of the demo and shared the frame counts for both the PS4 and the Xbox One version.
There has always been a difference between the resolutions that we have gotten on the Xbox One and the PS4 – with the latter taking the lead almost all the time – and the Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo is no different. Here’s what the YouTubers had to say:
Pixel counts indicate that the Final Fantasy 15 Platinum Demo uses a dynamic resolution on both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The PS4 resolution seems to vary between 1600×900 and 1920×1080 while the Xbox One resolution seems to vary between 1344×756 and something close to 1690×950.
Do keep in mind that the developers have claimed the demo is there to give the fans a taste of the finished game’s visuals. However, since there still are exactly six months in the game’s release, they could polish it up further as well.
That being said, the Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo is now live and will stay free to download on both the Xbox One and PS4 unlike the first demo which was restricted in access to people who bought Type-0.
