Final Fantasy XV is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30.
On related note, over the past few weeks there were rumors of Final Fantasy XV coming to Nintendo NX. However, Square Enix has denied the possibility. Moreover, Final Fantasy VII remake is also not in development for NX.
There is some hope for Project Scorpio though.
According to Square Enix, Final Fantasy XV for Project Scorpio is on the cards. Speaking in an interview, Hajime Tabata said:
I think that did sound like something that’s got quite a lot of potential. It’d be really great though if we could have Final Fantasy XV something we can play on the current-generation Xbox One and PS4, also give them that choice that when the new, stronger-generation hardware comes out, to have them play at that level as well. I’d really like to be able give them that…
This means we may also see in PlayStation 4 Neo, a 4K compatible machine from Sony. Both Project Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Neo are coming next year. However, a recent listing on Amazon suggests PlayStation 4 Neo might release earlier than expected.
