According to what Hajime Tabata had to share about Final Fantasy XV, it might be tough to make the game run on all platforms at 1080p and 60FPS – PC is a different story though.
Hajime Tabata pointed out to two different things in a recent talk. Firstly, he made an honest statement about how they were unsure whether all platforms will be able to run Final Fantasy XV at 1080p and 60FPS:
The honest answer to that is that there’s obviously a dfference in specifications between the two consoles. Maybe we haven’t fully grasped how to get the full potential of each of the consoles yet. We’re still working on that.
If we were gonna make it just for a single platform, and really optimize the game structure and the technology for the platform, it would be very possible to do that. But because we have to work on that as a multiplatform game, I still can’t quite guarantee that we’ll definitely be able to make that on all platforms.
Something tells me when he says all platforms actually he is referring to Xbox One.
He added that in order to properly run the special effects, objects, combat and whatnot together at 1080p and 60 FPS they will need a high end PC.
Talking of, while Tabata doesn’t have any plans for the PC version he stated that developers would like to look at it once the console versions of Final Fantasy XV are out.
