The online co-op mode in Far Cry 4 has been revealed to give players more freedom compared to the last installment.
Ubisoft has confirmed that in the latest title players will be able to pair up with their friends and be able to fully explore Kyrat. The online mode will have no restrictions whatsoever and players can take on challenges as they appear, hunt in packs, and pretty much do anything they please.
The developer also mentioned that the game will provide opportunities for teamwork. For example, in several missions, one player can take the wheel of a vehicle while the other takes point on the turret.
Your friends can help in scouting an area and marking the locations of enemies on the map from afar. This information will automatically be shared with all of his teammates. You can then discuss a suitable strategy to take them down together.
Ubisoft noted that players don’t require to be in the same vicinity as their teammates and that there will be no split screen. Players will be moving about as Ajay and his colleagues and trying to liberate parts of Kyrat. This is shown when an outpost is successfully taken over and Ajay’s men appear to take over the spot.
On the PlayStation 4, Far Cry 4 will come with 10 keys to Kyrat. Each key can be given to a friend who can then play the game with you, even if he has not purchased Far Cry 4.
Far Cry 4 is scheduled to release on November 18 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
