Elden Ring has a massive interactive world that entices players to search its every nook and cranny. You will be doing a lot of exploration that is not always possible on horseback. This is where the Sprint mechanism in Elden Ring comes in.
In this guide, we will teach you how to sprint in Elden Ring on all platforms, including PC.
How to Sprint in Elden Ring
Sprinting in Elden Ring not only allows you to cover massive distances but also allows you to run away from stronger and unwanted foes. This feature is a lifesaver in any game, especially in Elden Ring, where you lose all of your runes upon death.
To Sprint in Elden Ring, you will need to hold the dodge button and press the analog stick in the direction you want to run.
- For Playstation 4/5, press and hold the Circle Button (the one on the right).
- For Xbox consoles, press and hold the B Button on the right.
- For PC, press and hold the Left Shift key to sprint.
You will sprint as long as you hold down the button. However, there is a catch. Sprinting in Elden Ring requires stamina. You can only Sprint as long as you don’t drain all of your stamina. After that, you will have to wait for your Stamina (green bar) to recover on its own.
Can you Sprint Indefinitely in Elden Ring
There is a unique case in Elden Ring, unlike the previous Soulslike games where you can Sprint indefinitely. If you are not seen or targeted by an enemy, your stamina meter won’t start depleting upon sprinting. This will allow you to run as much as you want. However, if an enemy sees you, the combat mechanics will kick in, and the game will start consuming your stamina if you keep Sprinting.
