EA Sports have been trying to partner with as many football clubs as possible for its game to feel more authentic. However, EA Sports have been trying to partner with Italian league, Serie A, for FIFA 17 and despite EA’s best efforts, the company could not secure license for the league.
Senior producer, Nick Channon, for FIFA 17 announced at Gamescom 2016 that Electronic Arts could not close the deal on partnership with Serie A. He also said that EA has already secured deals with twenty other leagues which will be included in the game with their authentic badges and uniforms.
In related news, EA Sports has also extended its partnership with Premier League in a new deal. The deal will cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons.
As part of the deal EA Sport’s logo will be displayed on-screen during global broadcasts. EA Sports will also sponsor the Player of the Month and Player of the Season awards too.The company will also get a in-stadia integration before matches.
According to EA Sports global marketing Vice President, Jamie McKinlay, this partnership will bring the millions of FIFA fans more close to the Premier league.
This expanded partnership brings our milliions of players even closer to the Premier League. This year is an especially exciting one for Premier League fans as we debut The Journey, a brand new mode within FIFA 17 in which fans will live their story on and off the pitch as Premier League prospect Alex Hunter.
Microsoft has also announced two new Xbox One S bundles for FIFA 17, a 500 GB bundle and a 1 TB bundle.
These bundles will be available in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the U.S. Also the fans of the Ultimate Team will get exclusive content for Xbox as well. However, the exclusive content will only be available for the 1TB version.
FIFA 17 is scheduled to release on September 27, 2016 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
