After a lot of rumors, Dying Light 2 was officially announced by Techland at E3 2018. Dying Light 2 is a zombie game but it’s quite different from other games due to the open-world zombie survival and intense story which kept me playing for days.
Dying Light 2 does include the features from the original game which everyone loves but adds more feature to the game to make it another successful zombie game. Combats and Parkour in the game have been improved and will allow you to reach more places.
Techland, the developers of the game are branching out by revealing that players will get more choices and the in-game world will change according to them.
It was revealed by Tymon Smektala who’s the Lead designer of Dying Light that these choices and consequences have further purposes. Talking to Polygon he revealed that more than 13 million people have played Dying Light until now and it has more than 500,000 unique players each week.
Now by keeping those numbers in mind, the team knows what they will have to do with Dying Light to make it achieve more than the original game and bring players back for more.
Tymon Smektala said:
“We tried to do our homework. We have a very supportive community, one that talks with us directly. […] Now we want to give them them a narrative that supports playing the game over and over and over and over again. So the guy that played it for 4,500 hours can now play even more and it is more meaningful, because he is not just bashing zombies on the head. He gets something more out of it.”
This game is not just about the zombies as you will also face different factions which makes it not a typical type of zombie game. You will be against humans as well as some deadly zombies.
