Diablo 3 Patch 2.4.0 is Causing Some Performance Issues

A number of people are reporting that Diablo 3 patch 2.4.0 has caused multiple performance related issues with the game.

We are picking up reports over the internet that the Diablo 3 patch 2.4.0 might have started to cause performance related issues with the game.

For instance, one of the users says that “gets a bit laggy at times for me but its nothing terrible,” and continues that another problem is that “going for a high GR and a stack falls because of performance issues.”

There are other users who have reported that the game is facing lag as well as frame rate drops but the intensity of these problems is not too high. It is nothing game breaking.

However, there are other users who have had greater problems after Diablo 3 Patch 2.4.0 was released suggesting that the issue is varying for the players; an example is this guy who has also shared clips of the problems:

Did a GR75 with 3 other people and my 7-8 second SSS cooldown was more like 20 seconds. Enemies stood in place. Arcane beams were frozen in one direction. It was terrible. The video is now laggy and the connections are now laggy. Even in single player, my character would warp back a few steps every now and then.

People are also having connectivity issues with their party.

On the flipside there are a number of Redditors who are saying that they have had no issues at all after Diablo 3 patch 2.4.0 was released and that the reports might have been exaggerated to some extent.
