Devil May Cry 5 Music Video Pulled Amidst Sexual Harassment Allegations

Capcom has pulled back their latest music video for Devil May Cry 5 following allegations against their lead singer. The new trailer was based on Dante’s “Battle Theme” and was called Subhuman, performed by deathcore band Suicide Silence.

Now right afterward when it was released, fans around the world started sharing reports from 2017 in which the lead vocalist, Eddie Hermida was accused of sexually harassing a 17-year-old fangirl for continuous two years.

It took Capcom sometime to respond to the situation but finally, they removed the video while saying:

The music was recorded for the game before the incident came to light and we were unaware of the incident until now. However, as we are now aware of the current situation, Capcom has decided that moving forward, we will not further highlight the Dante battle theme for promotional purposes at this time. We are also currently evaluating what options are possible for the full game at this point, which is dependent on various factors such as resources.

Capcom has pulled the video and we still don’t know if the song will make a return or not as composer Cody Matthew Johnson of Suicide Silence revealed that the team worked hard on the song for two years. We will have to see how this develops.

In other news, you should definitely check out the latest trailer in which Dante reigns supreme and shows Dante in action. If that’s not enough, Trish and Lady are also back to team up with Dante to take on more enemies.

Now don’t let the removal of the song hold you back as Devil May Cry 5 Ultimate Edition is going to include 12 tracks from Devil May Cry 1-4 so be ready to play with your favorite ones when the game releases.

Devil May Cry 5 features a dynamic soundtrack system meaning that the music will change depending on your style and player rank so it’s more fun than ever to slash those demons

Now that’s not all as Devil May Cry 5 is going to include a multiplayer mode for the first time in the series which will allow from 2 to 3 players to play in some kind of Co-op mode and that’s much to be excited for.
