Before you can change the look of your Ghost, you will have to find all the new Exotic Ghost shells scattered around in the world.

As of now, you can obtain five new Exotic Ghost Shells in Curse of Osiris. However, these cannot be obtained by going to a hidden location and picking them up. They are only available through the Illuminated Engrams. There are two ways of getting your hands on these Illuminated Engrams.

You can either spend real-world money to buy them or you can simply level up and earn one each time. As the game progresses, you will not level up that easily and you will have to do some grinding in order to level up.

These Exotic Ghost Shells are not only a cosmetic accessory but they also give you some passive bonuses. These bonuses could be anywhere from 10% increase in XP gain or finding hidden treasure caches. These passive bonuses make these Exotic Ghost Shells worth the grind.

Since the game has also increased the level cap from 20 to 25 so you can earn more Illuminated Engram every time you level up. Every time you level up after getting to Level 20, you earn a confirmed Illuminated Engram.

Contender’s Shell
Contender’s Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained by defeating Calus or Argos on the Leviathan. It comes with the Seeker of Glory perk that tracks the amount of encounters on the Leviathan you have defeated. The Seeker Of brilliance increases the chance of encounters on the Leviathan awarding Bright Engrams. Finally, the Seeker of Opulence ensures a 50% chance that Exotic drops from encounters on the Leviathan will not be something that you already possess.

Cosmos Shell
Cosmos Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained by earning bright engrams or buying them from Eververse. The Guiding Light perk boosts all XP gains by 10%. The Omni-Telemetry perk generates Gunsmith telemetry data on any elemental weapon kills.

Electronica Shell
Electronica Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. The Public Defender perk makes sure you get more loot from public events on all destinations. The Omni-Telemetry perk generates Gunsmith telemetry data on any elemental weapon kills.

Fast Lane Shell
Fast Lane Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained by earning bright engrams. The Speed Demon perk reduces the time taken to summon your vehicles and reloads your weapons while driving. The Omni-Telemetry perk generates Gunsmith telemetry data on any elemental weapon kills.

Fire Victorious Shell
Fire Victorious Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained from illuminated engrams. The Banshee’s Favorite perk generates Gunsmith telemetry data on elemental weapon kills faster. It also comes with two Ghost modules. The first is Vanguard Scanner allows you to obtain additional faction consumables in strikes. The Crucible Scanner performs the same function for the Crucible.

Sagira’s  Shell
Sagira’s Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained by completing Osiris’ Lost Prophecies for Brother Vance on Mercury. Afterwards it can be purchased from Ikora Rey for 100 Legendary Shards. It comes with 3 intrinsic perks. The first one is the You’re Welcome perk that detects caches and resources within a 75-meter range on Mercury. The Omni-Telemetry perk generates Gunsmith telemetry data on any elemental weapon kills. Finally, the Scion of Mercury provides you with more Glimmer and boosts your chance of getting more faction consumables on Mercury.

Shinobu’s Shell
Shinobu’s Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained via Exotic engrams. The New Tricks perk improves Skip Grenade, and grants you an extra Skip Grenade charge. The Momentum Transfer perk reduces melee cooldown when you deal damage with a grenade. Finally, you get more of a chance of finding Special ammo upon landing a kill with the special Ammo Finder perk.

Star Map Shell
Star Map Shell is an Exotic Ghost Shell. It can be obtained via Bright engrams. The Treasure Hunter perk will locate caches within a 50-meter raidius and will boost Glimmer gain
