Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Famitsu Review is In, Looking Good

The Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Famitsu review is live and it seems the Japanese publication are quite happy with the beach-based spin-off.

The latest issue of Famitsu has reviewed Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3, giving it a total of 32 out of 40.

The Japanese gaming publication use four separate reviewers to give a score out of 10, then combining them to total a final result out of 40. For the Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 Famitsu review, all four reviewers handed the game an 8.

DOA Xtreme 3 is releasing for Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita in Asia, but there is no sign of a Western release yet. The game will however feature an English language option and will be region-free on both systems. The game features only the women of the Dead or Alive fighting series, barely dressed in ridiculously scantily-clad outfits and playing many games such as Volleyball, rock-climbing and the well-known super-serious game of “butt battles”.

The PS4 version of the game will also feature enhanced physics such as tan lines and swimsuit malfunctions, whereas the PS vita version will make use of the touch panels and gyro sensor features.

The game features nine ladies from the Dead or Alive series, who were decided by the amount of themes were downloaded on the Playstation store for each character for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. The results were as follows:

1. Marie Rose (17.6%)[29] 2. Honoka (14.9%)
3. Kasumi (12.0%)
4. Ayane (8.2%)
5. Kokoro (8.0%)
6. Nyotengu (7.6%)
7. Hitomi (5.9%)
8. Momiji (5.1%)
9. Helena Douglas (4.9%)

Zack will also feature as the owner of the island but will be non-playable and fully clothed of course.

There have been plenty of titillating trailers for DOA Xtreme 3, including this second promo trailer. The game was actually delayed by a month so that Tecmo Koei could ‘further improve’ the overall quality of the experience.

Is this a game that piques your interest enough to actually buy it? Has the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Famitsu review swayed you one way or the other? Don’t be shy, let us know in the comments as well as telling us whether the game should be getting a Western release anyway.
