The D.I.C.E awards are another among the award listings that gauge the best achievements that the gaming industry achieves within a year. Formerly known as the Academy of interactive arts and sciences, the DICE awards revealed the 22 finalists for the annual awards and God of War, unsurprisingly, was quite the star of the show.
This isn’t the first awards show God of War has shined at, since we’ve seen the game win the GoTY achievement as well at the official video game awards 2018. As far as the DICE awards go, God of War has been nominated for 12 different awards. Here’s the specifics on who was nominated for what:

Happy to see my boy Spider-Man up there as well. The game got recognized and nominated several times but doesn’t quite get the recognition for the amazing piece of art and fan service that it is.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also made it to the listings of the DICE awards. The Rockstar western was also the main rival to God of War for the video game awards of 2018. I fee like the cowboy title released a bit too late into the year, unable to reach its proper saturation point. Unlike God of War itself.
Though the game by Santa Montica has definitely earned all the recognition it’s getting, and that’s not because God of War is an established IP. The new installment was a marvel in video game cinematic story-telling. It also put an end to the ongoing argument presented by EA that single player games were dying.
It’s funny that Red Dead Redemption 2 made the online game nominee listings for the DICE awards as well. Despite its main focus being the single player story aspect. Yet it might actually swipe the award from Destiny 2, which actually was in its complete state, an online multiplayer game.
