Cube Monsters Invade Fortnite Battle Royale

Fortnitemares event has started in Fornite Battle Royale. It has brought "Cube Monsters" to the game as the first ever non-human enemies.

The mysterious evil purple cube that took over the Loot Lake has finally starting spawning “Cube Monsters” in Fortnite Battle Royale. There are some rewards for killing these creepy creatures and a weapon to kill them.

There are currently two types of Cube Monsters in Fortnite called Fiends and Brutes. These are the first ever non-human enemies that you’ll encounter in Fortnite Battle Royale. They are similar to the zombies present in Save The World mode.

These monsters also bring several rewards. Killing both types of these monsters will advance your progress towards completion of Fortnitemares challenges. These challenges include Destroying Cube Monsters, Deal damage with Assault Rifles or Pistols to Cube Monsters.

Killing these will also give you a small amount of shield so make sure to make use of them if you really want that victory royale. These monsters are spawning all around the corrupted rune sites on the map.

They will also provide you some loot. You can even use them for distracting others or just watch your enemies get killed by one of them. It’s a very nice addition to the game so you better start downloading the new update that has arrived.

There’s also a new weapon introduced in the game to make it easier to kill these zombies. Fortnitemare comes with a limited time weapon called a Fiend Hunter Crossbow. It deals 4x damage to Fiends. You can find Fiend Hunter Crossbow from floor loot, chests, and vending machines.

Epic Games has now also confirmed that Save The World will not arrive in 2018. The team needs some more time to work on it before it releases to a wider audience. It seems like a good step as Fortnite is now very popular so loads of players will be joining in.

To compensate, Epic Games is giving away Brainiac Jonesy and Skull Ranger Ramirez for free. You just have to play the game once during the Fortnitemares event to receive them. If you can’t wait to try out the PvE mode then you should buy it today with 50% off on the sale.

Fortnite is now available to play on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile, and Nintendo Switch.
