Cliff Bleszinski Said No to Silent Hills Because He Would’ve Ruined It

Renowned Gears of War developer Cliff Bleszinski was asked to work on Silent Hills with Hideo Kojima. He turned down the offer to work on the game.

Did you know? Renowned Gears of War developer Cliff Bleszinski was asked to work on Silent Hills with Hideo Kojima. Unfortunately, he turned down the offer to work on the game.

Cliff says even though he was flattered by the offer to work with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro, he ultimately denied the offer.

So why exactly did he say no? Well, he thinks he would have ruined Silent Hills.

Cliff is known for his FPS games, and he is currently working on a PC title called Lawbreakers. I was wondering what skill-set would he have to the project? He is no doubt a talented developer, but Silent Hills was a very different game.

Sadly, we will never get to experience it. The game was canceled by Konami and Hideo Kojima was let go a little after the release of The Phantom Pain.

Hideo Kojima is now working on a game for PlayStation 4, and Del Toro is busy elsewhere. No one is talking about Silent Hills right now, and it will take a while before a new game is developed.
