Cyberpunk 2077 is said to be showcased at E3 2018 and as we head closer, rumors and speculations are gaining momentum. One of the most popular theories about Cyberpunk 2077, although not new, is very exciting to hear about. And it seems like the right time to discuss it once again.
Those who played The Witcher 3 would remember finding Ciri and speaking to her about the worlds and times she traveled. One of the worlds she mentioned is a direct easter egg for Cyberpunk 2077. She mentions people having metal in their heads, a reference to the human implants from CD Projekt RED’s new game.
“People waged war from a distance,” she said; a reference to the overwhelming amount of guns in the game.
People there had metal in their heads, waged war from a distance, using things similar to Megascopes. And there were no horses, everyone had their own flying ship instead.
Ciri spent almost 6 months in Cyberpunk 2077 and it is possible that the game will feature Ciri. While she may not be the main character, Ciri may actually be a part of a side quest where the player is tasked to help her get back home, to her time.
It would be the perfect side quest to tie The Witcher universe with Cyberpunk 2077. And it is possible that developers would add this to the game. They played a lot of attention to this dialogue from Ciri which is intriguing on its own.
In other Cyberpunk news, CD Projekt RED has just filed a trademark for the game, once again indicating that we are indeed seeing the game at E3 this year. This should help with concerns of a no-show at E3.
