Like all previous Call of Duty titles, perks play a vital role when it comes to the performance of your gear and character in the multiplayer matches. The latest reboot of the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is no different in that regard. Read down below to get informed about all the perks and their effects.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Perks
As part of the Multiplayer Mode reveal event hosted for COD: Modern Warfare, several perks were introduced and most of them are new to the series.
Unlike previous entries, perks are not restricted to the character, so there is a lot of potential and opportunity when it comes to weapon attachments.
Presumably, these new perks for guns will essentially replace traditional weapon mods from the previous installments.
The capacity of the perks dictates that a player can have 4 Perks equipped at a given time. Three of these are limited to a character while the remaining one has to be related to your weapon of choice.
Without further ado, we have listed the perks and their relevance below. Starting first, we will look at three categories of character-related perks in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Perk 1
Double Time
The Duration of Super Sprint is tripled and the ability is replenished to the max via kills.
E.O.D.
Incoming damage from non-killstreak explosives reduced. You can also hack enemy Claymores, Proximity Mines and C4.
Scavenger
Retrieve ammo from corpses of players.
Tracker
Dead enemies leave traces and markers behind for easier traction. Crouch movement speed is increased by 30%.
Tune Up
Field upgrades charge up 50% quicker.
Perk 2
Ghost
Become undetectable to UAVs, Radar Drones, Heartbeat Sensors and High Alert. You can also erase the death markers of enemies you killed.
Hardline
Killstreaks require one less kill to be available.
Kill Chain
Killstreaks earned in your current life earn kill credit for other killstreaks.
Overkill
Earn the ability to equip two primary weapons at a given time.
Restock
Recharge equipment over a duration of 30 seconds.
Perk 3
Amped
Speeds for both weapon swap and rocket launcher reload is increased.
Battle Hardened
Status effects inflicted by enemy including flash, stun, and EMP, now have less intensity and strength.
Cold-Blooded
Remain undetected by AI targeting system and thermal optics, and become invulnerable to snapshot grenades.
High Alert
Your vision pulses to indicate that an enemy player outside your field of view has set his sights on you.
Shrapnel
Spawn with an extra piece of lethal equipment. Health regeneration is also delayed because of explosive damage dealt.
Spotter
See additional info about the enemy player including their equipment, field upgrades, and killstreaks through walls. You can also mark them down when you aim down your sights, so your teammates can also view the target.
