The much-anticipated Call of Duty Mobile game has finally been released. There has been a lot of hype surrounding Call of Duty Mobile since it was announced, particularly for its battle royale mode. In this guide, we’ll explain these systems and mechanics and also give you a lot of tips and tricks so you can get a jumpstart in the battle royale mode for Call of Duty Mobile.
Call of Duty Mobile Battle Royale Tips
As you may know, the key element of this game, which everybody was excited for, is the battle royale mode. There are a lot of mobile battle royale games available to play, like PUBG Mobile, Rules of Survival, Knives Out, etc. What makes Call of Duty Mobile stand out from the rest is its unique mechanics and class and revive system. In order to play Battle Royale mode, you must be at least level 7 first.
The revive system in Call of Duty Mobile is quite different from the one you are probably accustomed to. In the battle royale mode, when your teammate dies, they drop something called a “Dog Tag”.
If you pick up this Dog Tag and press the revive button, your teammate will be revived on the plane and will be able to jump back into the battlefield.
Battle Royale Classes
Call of Duty Mobile gives you the option to choose from 6 different classes before jumping into the battlefield. Each of these classes has their own unique ability and passive perk which we will explain below:
Defender Class
As the name suggests, the Defender class is focused on increasing your survivability by giving you more defensive abilities. It grants you the ability “Transformed Shield”. This allows you to place a deformable shield anywhere you want, giving you immediate protection.
The passive perk of the Defender class is called “Reinforced”. This increases your resistance to all damage except for bullets.
Mechanic Class
The Mechanic class has a really useful ability, known as “Emp Drone”. This allows you to call a drone to yourself which will bring you rare weapons. To do this, you will have to press the drone button in the bottom right corner of your screen.
However, you must be very vigilant while doing this, as a colored trail will follow the drone in the sky, giving away your position to the enemies. You can use this to your advantage by using the drone as a bait to lure in enemies, then gunning them down from a distance.
The passive perk of the Mechanic class is called “Engineer”. This grants you traps, equipment, and even augmented sight to your vehicles.
Scout Class
The Scout class gives you a lot of intel on the battlefield. Its ability, known as “Sensor Dart”, shoots out a dart that will display enemy positions on your map. This is a great ability, which will allow you to detect distant, hidden players before they detect you.
The passive perk of the Scout class is called “Tracker”. Contrary to most of the other battle royale games, Call of Duty Mobile will not show you enemy footsteps on your map. However, the Scout class allows you to see them for a short period of time.
Clown Class
The Clown class is mostly used to confuse your opponents. Its ability is known as “Toy Bomb”. By searching in different buildings on the map, you may find a bomb, called a toy bomb. When you throw this bomb at an opponent, it will spawn a zombie that will attack them.
The zombie will most likely not kill off your enemy, however, it will distract them enough for you to jump and finish them off yourself.
The passive perk of the Clown class is called “Anti Zombie”. This perk protects you from players with the same class, as it repels zombies sent by them.
Medic Class
As you can tell from the name of the class, this class will help you stay alive for as long as possible. The ability of this class is called “Medical Station”. This ability creates an actual medical station which gradually regenerates your and your team’s health.
The passive perk of the Medic class is called “Master Healer”. This perk helps you heal faster and decreases the time required to revive your dead teammates.
Ninja Class
This class is based on increasing your movement speed. Its ability, called “Grapple Gun”, will shoot out a hook which will pull you towards the target.
The passive perk of the Ninja class is called “Dead Silence”. This decreases the sound you make while moving, allowing you to sneak around.
Battle Royale Tips and Tricks
Now that you know how the class and revive system works, let’s jump straight into the tips and tricks which will help make you a much better player.
Always Look At Your Map
A lot of new players don’t realize this, but the radar map is your most useful utility in the game. Make a habit of constantly looking at it, especially when you hear a sound; as it will accurately display where the sound came from.
If you don’t look at your map, it will be very easy for your opponents to sneak up on you and catch you off-guard.
Find Scopes
The battle royale map is very large. If you don’t find a good scope, it’ll be very hard to take out (or even spot) distant enemies. Try and search for a good scope, coupled with a weapon that has a decent range to go along with it.
Practice Against Bots
There is a game mode called Practice VS. Ai, which allows you to go against bots and refine your skills. This is a very useful game mode, especially for new players. However, even if you’re a very skilled player, you should semi-regularly play this mode, just to be at the top of your game.
Be a Team-Player
You can either play the battle royale mode solo, with another person, or as a team of four. If you’re not playing solo, you must fully co-operate with your teammates. If you or your teammates play as lone wolves in solo/team, you’re doomed.
Communicate with your teammates, share guns and equipment, notify them whenever you see/hear something.
The best way to play duos/team is with your friends, as you know each other and it will be easier for you to communicate.
Find The Best Sensitivity Setting For You
In every shooter game, the most crucial obstacle you must overcome is finding the best sensitivity for you. You must experiment with the settings and find the sensitivity which is most comfortable for you.
In Call of Duty Mobile, when you go to the Sensitivity tab in settings, you will see the following sub-categories.
Rotation Mode
This setting governs how quickly you turn from left to right. Here, select Fixed Speed, as you don’t want to unexpectedly move past your target when moving your aim horizontally, due to the acceleration.
Firing and Camera Sensitivity
It is very important to have the same firing and camera sensitivity, so you don’t need to adapt to two different settings at the same time. Here, you will see a few more settings.
Standard Sensitivity – Regular moving sensitivity.
ADS Sensitivity – Sensitivity while aiming down sight.
Tactical Scope Sensitivity – Sensitivity for a tactical scope. Keep it the same as your ADS setting.
Sniper Scope Sensitivity – Sniper Rifle Sensitivity.
