Call of Duty 2019 Job Listing Confirms PS5 and Xbox Scarlett Versions?

Latest job listing by Infinity Ward suggests us that Call Of Duty 2019 is going to be cross-gen game. It will also arrive on PS5 and Xbox Scarlet.

Call Of Duty 2019 is in works by Infinity Ward as we speak and the developers is looking for people to add to its team. According to the latest job listing by Infinity Ward, it’s coming to the next generation of consoles.

Infinity Ward posted a job listing on LinkedIn and its job description is hinting at the possible cross-gen Call of Duty game.

Come work with the game industry’s brightest on an exciting, unannounced next-gen title. The candidate must have a strong interest and passion for First Person Shooter (FPS) games.

Now that unannounced title is most probably going to be Call of Duty 2019. Every year Call Of Duty games are released by different developers including Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Treyarch. 2019 is going to be the year of Infinity Ward. IW has made some of the best games in the past including Modern Warfare 2 and 3.

The mention of “next-gen” possibly means that Call of Duty 2019 will arrive on the current PS4 and Xbox One as well as PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

Now what makes this interesting is that IW was the same team which brought us the first cross-gen Call Of Duty game before. IW brought us Call of Duty: Ghosts which was playable on PS3 and PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Infinity Warfare is the last game they produced and it wasn’t received very well. IW also has the chance to win the trust back of the fans by bringing Modern Warfare series.

A new Modern Warfare game is the most requested in the whole Call Of Duty franchise and it’s going to be a dream come true if it’s up next.

Infinity Ward art director Joel Emslie has already claimed that the next Call Of Duty game in 2019 is going to be extraordinary. The next title is also expected to be boots on the ground game as compared to the previous one.

Now, this job listing also excites us for the next generation of consoles. According to the job listing, it looks like we are closer to the release of next-gen PS5 or Xbox Scarlet.

This next Call of Duty game will be announced by IW in May of 2019. Until then you can play Black Ops 4 which is launching this week and it consists of the Battle Royale mode instead of singleplayer campaign.
