The following are the errors and issues that Battletech players have been experiencing along with their possible fix or workaround.
User Already Have A Profile For Battletech
Some PC players have reported that as they try to play the game the error pops up notifying that player already has a profile for Battletech.
The solution to this problem is simple, all you have to do is close the game and restart it and this time it will ask you to choose between Campaign or Skirmish. Just pick the campaign and the game will start without any issues.
Black Screen Fix
Black Screen is rather a common issue in PC games, however, fixing this is very simple. Just press “ALT+Enter” as the black screen comes and the game will go into windowed mode.
Now, just go to the video settings and change the game’s resolution to your monitor’s resolution and you then you will be able to play the game in fullscreen.
atidxx64.dll Access Violation
This is another one the Battletech errors that players have been experiencing and there are multiple reasons why this error might be popping up.
If this error started to show up after updating the GPU driver, then try reverting the driver back to an older version to fix this issue.
If this doesn’t work then try uninstalling the game with all of the data including the save files and reinstall it. The save files will be located in the steam folder Steam\userdata\[user-id]\637090. This will surely reset all of the graphical settings and key bindings that you have set but, this should resolve the error.
d3d11.dll Access Violation
This error is quite similar to the one mentioned above. Try updating the DirectX and this issue should resolve.
However, if this doesn’t work for you then uninstall the game along with the save files and reinstall it. The save files will be located at Steam\userdata\[user-id]\637090.
FPS Drop, Stuttering Fix
Despite the system being more powerful than the game’s recommended system requirements, there are some serious frame rate drops in the game along with constant in-game stutter.
The solution for this issue is simple. All you have to do is start the game and then open “Task Manager” and click on “More Details”. Now select the “Details” tab and find the game’s exe. Right-click on the exe and change the priority any option above “Normal”. This will resolve the frame rate drop issue and the constant stutter in the game.
You can also try to update your GPU drivers to the latest version as they bring optimizations for latest games. Furthermore, you need to check if there is a background process running that is using too much HDD which can cause stutters. Close that application for a smoother experience.
Also, if you are using a GTX 10 series GPU and then select the Fast-sync for the game through Nvidia Control Panel. This will potentially boost your FPS.
