It hasn’t been a year since the launch of Nintendo Switch and the hybrid console is growing in popularity with every passing month and more third-party games are being announced for it and now Bandai Namco has also revealed that it will be announcing 3 new games next year.
Speaking during a recent Bandai Namco financial results briefing, company President Mitsuaki Taguchi confirmed that 3 new Nintendo Switch games will be announced between Summer and Spring 2018.
He further added that the company has enough resources at its disposal through which is can develop games for PC and current-gen consoles along with focusing on Switch. However, this is hardly surprising since Nintendo Switch has proved to be very successful.
Furthermore, it is yet unknown what these titles for the hybrid console will be so we will just have to wait till Spring next year.
In related news, Life is Strange developer, Dotnod Entertainment, is working on a new IP in partnership with Bandai Namco. The game will take place in a fictional US city and will include “a fair dose of investigation” and the game has been in production since 2016.
No release date has been announced for the title but, more details about the game will be revealed in 2018. However, if you are worried that this will affect the development of Life is strange 2, then rest assured as the studio has said that it won’t affect the studio’s ongoing work on Life Is Strange 2 as the game is being developed by a separate team.
Speaking of third-party titles coming to Nintendo Switch, Sony has also formed a new division “Unites” that will focus on publishing games for Nintendo Switch and PC.
