2nd-gen AMD Ryzen CPUs and APUs are in the market and motherboard manufacturers have been revealing their B450 motherboards for AMD Ryzen. This time ASUS has taken the lid off its ASUS B450 Motherboards for the 2nd-gen Ryzen CPUs.
AMD is yet to announce the launch date for its B450 Motherboards while motherboard manufacturers are revealing their lineup based on the B450 chipset with AM4 socket. However, leaks and rumors suggest that B450 motherboards for AMD Ryzen CPUs will be available by the end of this month.
A total of eight ASUS B450 motherboards have been revealed with two being the Asus ROG series motherboards, two belonging to Asus TUF series motherboards and the rest of the four motherboards belong to Asus Prime series.
First up is the ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard which comes with the usual bells and whistles expected from a ROG ATX gaming motherboard.
The ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming features RGB lighting as usual with four DDR4 memory slots that support up to 3200 Mhz of DDR4 memory modules, two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, two PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and dual PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slots for SSDs.
Next up is the ASUS ROG Strix B450-I Gaming which is a watered version of the ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard.
This particular motherboard is a Mini-ITX motherboard that comes with two DDR4 memory slots that support up to 3600 MHz memory modules along with integrated 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.
The next ASUS B450 Motherboard is the ASUS B450-PLUS Gaming motherboard. The B450-PLUS is an ATX motherboard which comes with 4 slots for DDR4 memory which support up to 3200 MHz memory modules.
Other features for ASUS B450-PLUS Gaming include one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, a single PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slot for SSD storage and one PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. As for maximum durability, for which the TUF brand is known for, the motherboard is built using military-grade TUF components.
Next up is ASUS B450M-PLUS Gaming motherboard which comes in a microATX form factor. However, it shares the same number of DDR4 memory slots, PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 expansion slots, and M.2 slot as the ASUS B450-PLUS Gaming.
As for the Asus Prime B450 motherboards, ASUS has announced 4 motherboards namely: Prime B450-PLUS, Prime B450M-A, Prime B450M-A/CSM, and Prime B450M-K.
However, ASUS has only detailed the specs for ASUS Prime B450-PLUS motherboard which comes with four DDR4 RAM slots supporting up to 3200 MHz memory modules along with PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slot.
