Ubisoft: No Two Playthroughs Of Assassin’s Creed Origins Will Be The Same Experience

Game director Jean Guesdon explained how the experience to players will be different from each other in Assassin's Creed Origins.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is one of the most anticipated games of this year and fans are excited to see what the game has to offer. Ubiosft skipped Assassin’s Creed last year to reinvent the franchise and it has certainly paid off at least in Assassin’s Creed Origins gameplay demos. Now the studio has revealed that no two players will have the same experience in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

In the September issue of PC Gamer, Game director Jean Guesdon explained how the experience to players will be different from each other which was achieved with less scripting and handholding. He added that the AI feels like real AI in Assassin’s Creed origins.

For us, it’s something that we really want to push. We want players to have their own personal experience, which means less scripting and less hand-holding. We create a world, we place some content in it – we have dozens of quests, and people that you will meet who will tell you stories. But in between, when you’re in the world, a lot of things can happen. And no two people will have the same experience – it’s just not possible.

We’ve reworked the AI so that all living beings in the world are real AI. The lions are hunting antelopes, the crocodiles are attacking hippos if there are any around, and the world is much more living than before.

Also, Ubisoft has confirmed that Tombs are returning in Assassin’s Creed Origins and this time the tombs will be based on real world tombs.

In the latest issue of OPM, creative director Ashraf Ismail confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Origins will feature tombs that will feature a mix of puzzles and platforming, just like in Assassin’s Creed 2.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is an upcoming action RPG in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
