If the all the latest offerings of first person shooter genre aren’t up to mark for you, Bohemia has announced that they will be bringing back Arma series to the PC with the release of Arma 3 in summer 2012.
Bohemia aims to match Arma 3 with the series’ realistic gameplay with the realistic graphics. To achieve that they have overhauled their game engine for Arma 3 to bring the most detailed environments in the series to date.
The storyline follows the veteran Cpt. Scott Miller, who is investigating a “well guarded military secret” on a Mediterranean island. Players will have access to variety of aircraft, vehicles, and ships to accomplish their objective, not to mention an arsenal of weapons ranging from pistols to turrets.
Arma 3 will feature cooperative and competitive online multiplayer modes on Dedicated Servers. Bohemia has also announced plans to release a level editor and mod tools for creating custom scenarios and competitive modes for the game.
With E3 just around the corner, we will surely have more information on Arma 3. May be some gameplay action.
