We have been waiting for AMD Ryzen mobile chips for some time now and while we have some leaks regarding the AMD Raven Ridge APU that will feature both Zen and Vega cores there has been nothing concrete. In the process of announcing the quarterly figures, AMD talked about the upcoming AMD Raven Ridge APU.

According to AMD, these will be exclusive to Acer, HP And Lenovo for a limited time. This might be the reason why the leaks we got previously were from an HP notebook, the X360 which featured Zen and Vega graphics. We talked about the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U that will feature 4 cores and 4 threads.

According to HP specifications, the AMD Raven Ridge APU will have a base clock of 2 GHz and will be able to boost to 3.6 GHz. The U series will have a lower TDP as compared to desktop Ryzen CPUs. The prices of AMD Ryzen CPUs have also gone down and even though they were already priced pretty well, they are even more tempting now, considering the number of cores that you are getting for the price. These chips may not be the best for gaming but are great for content creation.

The price of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has also gone down and you can save more than $100 on the purchase, which is great considering that the CPU features 16 cores and 32 threads.
