Aaron Greenberg is Amused by Sony Using Photoshopped Xbox One X Version of Anthem For Marketing

Aaron Greenberg from Microsoft is amused by Sony using Xbox One X version of EA's Anthem on its YouTube Channel.

Aaron Greenberg from Microsoft is amused by Sony using Xbox One X version of EA’s Anthem on its YouTube Channel. EA announced Anthem at E3 2017 and showed the game running on Xbox One X. The title is optimized for Xbox One X and supports checkerboard 4K (according to Digital Foundry).

The community wondered where the PlayStation 4 version is so Sony gave us exactly what we asked for, or did it? Sony uploaded a photoshopped version of the Xbox One X version and marketed it as Anthem on PlayStation 4/Pro. Of course, Microsoft was expected to react but while they didn’t release a public statement, Aaron Greenberg shared an article from Forbes on Twitter and seemed pretty amused.

Sony is yet to address the situation but it is pretty clear that someone at Sony messed up. The editor of the video as well as whoever asked him to upload need to be fired.

The next time we will see Anthem it is going to be at Gamescom. EA and BioWare will share more news as well as more gameplay footage, hopefully, from the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro versions.

Anthem will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One S, Xbox One, and PC next year. BioWare is also working on a Dragon Age game alongside Anthem. Dragon Age: Inquisition came out in 2014. Inquisition ended on a cliffhanger after the end of its Trespasser DLC.

The story is expected to continue in a sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition sequel.
