Sony is Bringing Elden Ring to Taipei Game Show?

Sony announces its Taipei Game Show 2020 lineup, which includes The Last of Us 2, Elden Ring, Resident Evil and more. Check out the full list...

2020 starts strong for the video game industry, with companies already “showing their teeth” for popularity. Apart from CES 2020, Taipei Game Show 2020 will take place this February 6th-9th in Taiwan and Sony has already confirmed its lineup for the show.

As expected, Sony’s list of titles available for TGS includes a huge cast of JRPGs and anime-inspired titles like Fairy Tail and One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. The show won’t go soft on high-end releases though. Resident Evil Resistance and Cyberpunk 2077 will also be present as well as Elden Ring. The latter comes as a surprise since we’ve seen nothing since its teaser at E3 last year. However, it’s always good seeing some From Software action at any given time.

The list of titles we’ve seen during Sony’s show at Taipei Game Show are as follows:

  • The Last of Us Part 2
  • Marvel’s Iron Man VR
  • NiOh 2
  • Fairy Tail
  • Ys IX
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Resident Evil Resistance
  • One Piece Pirate Warriors 4
  • Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris
  • Tales of Arise
  • Elden Ring
  • Persona 5 Royal
  • 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus
  • Yakuza Like a Dragon
  • NBA 2K20
  • Gungrave G.O.R.E.
  • Yo-Kai Watch 4 ++
  • Way of the Samurai Gaiden Katanakami
  • Gleamligh
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake
  • Trials of Mana
  • Marvel’s Avengers

Even though the Taipei Game Show lineup for Sony is quite extensive, there’s no real indication that we’ll get news for them. For some if not most of those titles, we’ll see the already announced trailers with Chinese subtitles or voice-over.

We’ll hold some extra hype for some footage of Marvel Iron Man VR, which proves to be an interesting concept for virtual reality. As for Elden Ring, which still is a mystery to all soulsborne fans, received an unofficial release window for June 2020.

Taipei Game Show 2020 opens its gates on February 6th and closes on the 9th. The event will take place in Taiwan at Nangang Exhibition Center. Apart from Sony, Google Play, Bandai Namco, SEGA and more will be present at the show. Esports will also have its own dynamic, with Republic of Gamers, Lenovo, AORUS, MSI, Thermaltake, HyperX, Cooler Master, and Corsair.
