Elden Ring Release Date Might Be June 2020, No Information Yet

From Software’s upcoming new RPG Elden Ring, which had the help of George R. R. Martin in regards to its worldbuilding, apparently finally has a release window, though nothing is sure yet. The Elden Ring release date is apparently going to be happening in June of this year, for now.

Elden Ring, though it debuted at E3 back in 2019, hasn’t gotten any more information on it at all since then, no gameplay, no other trailers, and not even anything truly from From Software themselves. However, if the release date rumor is true, we may be getting all of that soon.

Even if a June 2020 Elden Ring release date seems too soon, From Software themselves have actually put the game up for a June release on their studio website, where they talk about Metal Wolf Chaos XD, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring in turn.

Then again, there’s also the possibility that this could be some sort of translation error, especially considering From Software is a Japanese studio writing on its website in English. While there’s no indication that this might be wrong, there still hasn’t been an official announcement of an Elden Ring release date.

Regardless, Elden Ring has been on many From Software fans’ minds since it was first discovered hidden within the code of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice at the beginning of 2019. There’s no telling how long the game has been in development, and From Software normally puts out great games, but there’s still a while to go until June.

We may end up getting actual Elden Ring trailers and an official Elden Ring release date sometime in the future, but until then we’ll have to keep a close eye on From Software and see if the rumors about a June release date turn out to be true.

In the meantime, if it is true, you’ll be able to play Elden Ring when it releases for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
