Ever since Epic Games launched Epic Games Store announced war on Steam, it has been getting more and more games to become exclusives.  And everytime people complain Epic Games says they won’t have more games exclusives for a while. They have gone back on this assurance again and made eight new games exclusives.

The criticism primarily comes from gamers who feel frustrated that if this exclusive policy keeps going on, soon they will have to use all these different outlets to get different games. Keeping in mind, the soon to be launched Google Stadia is a paid service, this could be disastrous. Soon, you might just have to pay a monthly subscription to just access different games and then you will have to buy them.

The games that have been announced are : Ooblets, No Straight Roads, Manifold Garden, Superliminal, Wattam, The Alto Collection, Airborne Kingdom, The Eternal Cylinder.

Ooblets developer Glumberland had announced it had signed a deal with Epic to bring its game to PC exclusively on Epic’s store. The Alto Collection contains both the endless runner snowboarding games Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey. This will be the first time they are coming to PC.

We don’t know much about Wattam except that it is a new game from Katamari Damacy designer Keita Takahashi.

No Straight Roads is directed by Wan Hazmer, lead game designer of Final Fantasy 15,

American artist William Chyr has developed Manifold Garden, which is a first-person puzzle game. William Chyr explained the decision to make Manifold Garden an Epic Games Stores Exclusive in a tweet.

Superliminal is a forced perspective game from Pillow Castle.

Airborne Kingdom is a city sim about building a flying town. And The Eternal Cylinder is a survival game from Zeno Clash developer ACE Team.

Most of these games are also coming to consoles, so we’re talking about a period of PC exclusivity on the Epic Games store here. We do not know the release dates yet.

Lets see if Steam takes this lying down and if Epic Games eases off the exclusives for a file.
