NBA 2K20 Demo Is Now Available, Actual Game Comes Out September 6

The NBA 2K20 is now available for fans of the franchise to download, only around two weeks away from the game’s actual release date of September 6. NBA 2K20 is the most recent entry in the NBA 2K franchise, part of the yearly sports franchises released by 2K and other studios.

The demo’s announcement was revealed on the Xbox reddit by user str8killn91, who not only announced it but also said that he was already downloading it. So, if you’ve been waiting for the demo for who-knows-how-long, now’s the time to go for it.

The NBA 2K games, such as the NBA 2K20 demo now, allow players to create a character that they will control as they get tothe top of the National Basketball Association, though depending on the game there may be various different ways and methods of doing that.

For instance, NBA 2K16’s career mode started off with a story mode written and directed by black filmmaker Spike Lee, giving your created character more of a personality. However, reception to this was mixed due to the characters, story, and the fact that regardless of your skin type you had black parents. Oh, and you were named “Frequency Vibrations.”

NBA 2K19 also had a number of various issues that people had with it, such as the standard ever-present microtransactions and unskippable advertisements within the game itself, which broke up the flow and made most gamers even angrier.

The NBA 2K demo will allow you to get started early on your MyPlayer, customizing your character from the ground up with everything from their looks to their jersey to which hand they’re dominant in.

You’ll also be able to test your player out in a game between the Raptors and Warriors, though since it’s a demo there’s not really much you can do besides that. Otherwise, you can pick up the full game when it comes out on September 6 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
