Gamescom 2019, the German video game fair that will once again lead some of the most important days in the industry, will be plagued by advertisements from major video game publishers.
An entire list of publishers has already been announced. These publishers are 2K, Activision, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bungie, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Deep Silver, Private Division, Sega, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, THQ Nordic GmbH, Ubisoft, and Xbox Game Studios.
The question now lies in what promising games there will be showcased. Recent rumors about a new Resident Evil has begun to emerge as a possibility, Resident Evil 8.
As they point out on GameRanx, this is a possibility that we cannot rule out for the following reason: the developer recently began contacting potential testers of the next installment of the zombie franchise. These testers would then go to a specified location during the first week of September to test the work in question.
This implies that its development has already reached such a point that it can be played with to a certain limit.
Given this fact, and the reality that Gamescom 2019 is just less than two weeks away, it is not surprising that the possibility has begun to sound like a real contender. The question, however, lies in whether Capcom would be working on a new remake or what would be the eighth entry in the Resident Evil Saga.
In any case, we cannot ignore the idea that the Japanese brand is going to Germany with other plans since obviously there has been no confirmation on the part of the treaty.
Ultimately, we will remember that the company’s most recent financial results left us with an undeniable reality: Resident Evil 2 Remake was a commercial success. As mentioned above, it could be a new remake, and Capcom may have decided to release another remake, due to the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake.
We can speculate as much as we want to because these are still only rumors. Nothing has been confirmed yet!
