Rumor: Halo Infinite Release Date is Set for Holiday 2020, Huge Info Dump at E3 2019

Halo Infinite release date is set for holiday 2020, according to a rumor from an alleged industry insider. This information was revealed recently by a NeoGAF user, who claims to have leaked Microsoft’s entire E3 2019 press conference plans. Of course, all of the provided information should be treated as a rumor for now.

The upcoming installment in Halo series, Halo Infinite was revealed by Microsoft last year at E3 2018. According to the rumor, Microsoft is planning to go much bigger this year at E3 2019 by releasing a new Halo Infinite trailer and a massive information dump for the game.

In addition to this, Microsoft will also unveil that they are targeting a Holiday 2020 release date for Halo Infinite. Moreover, Halo Infinite will be a cross-gen title as it will release on the next-gen Xbox console and Xbox One.

The next Xbox console is also expected to make an appearance at E3 this year, which means that the fans can possibly see Halo Infinite with next-gen graphics and performance at the event.

This all does seem possible and it’s safe to say that Halo 6 (the sixth main game) will be making an appearance at E3 2019 with a trailer at least.

Given how long the game has been in development, a 2020 release also makes sense. Furthermore, a 2020 release for Halo Infinite also seems possible given the rumors that it’s a cross-gen title.

To find out if these rumors are true or not, we can do nothing but wait until E3 2019. Microsoft has already confirmed that it plans to go big at E3 this year.

It’s obvious that Microsoft will be using Halo 6 to attract new gamers towards its next-gen consoles which are rumored to be Xbox Anaconda and Xbox Lockhart.

As we reported before, it’s rumored that 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite is the most expensive and biggest project ever in the history of the gaming industry with a budget of over $500 million.

If this is true then the next entry in Halo franchise is more expensive than GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Keeping that in mind, Microsoft is expected to provide an info dump for Halo Infinite at E3 2019 this year and another next year with detailed gameplay.

Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 conference will start on June 9 and we will be covering it live to provide you with the latest Halo Infinite news.
