AMD fans have been waiting for a lot of things like Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs and AMD Navi GPUs. While we still waiting for AMD to officially announce them, a rumor has emerged suggesting AMD Navi GPU will launch on July 7, 2019.
According to the leak, AMD Navi GPU provides performance somewhere between the RX Vega 56 and Nvidia GTX 1080.
Also, the GPU will cost you $259 if the leak is to be believed. However, the price is surprisingly low considering its performance and GTX 1080 costs way more.
Furthermore, the AMD Navi GPU features 1.8 GHz or 1800 MHz boost clock and 150W of TDP. However, the leak didn’t reveal the name of the GPU but, these specs do coincide with a previous leak.
According to the previous leak, AMD is planning to roll out RX 3080, a successor to RX 580 with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
Previously, benchmarks for the alleged AMD Navi GPU leaked online. Interestingly, the benchmarks suggest that the upcoming Navi GPU beats RX 580 in all of the gaming benchmarks but falls short compared to RX Vega 64.
However, given that all these are just leaks and rumor, take them with a grain of salt. But, it’s about time AMD brings out it next-gen GPUs considering Nvidia has flooded the market with its RTX 20 and GTX 16 series GPUs.
Aside from all of these leaks and rumors, references to the Navi GPUs were recently found in MAC OS. A file in MAC OS listed Navi 16, 12, 10 and 9 which seems to be different variants.
With so many leaks, rumors and benchmarks popping up, it seems that AMD is ready to unleash its next-gen Navi GPUs.
Aside from GPUs, PC enthusiasts are also looking forward to 7nm Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs. These are to be the world’s first 7nm CPUs but AMD seems to be in no mood to reveal them anytime soon.
However, Ryzen 3000 CPU prices and specs have leaked online. Here are a few highlights from the leaked CPU specs.
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600X – 8-Cores, 16 Threads, 4.0 GHz base clock, 4.8 GHz Boost clock
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X – 12-Cores, 24 Threads, 4.2 GHz GHz base clock, 5.0 GHz Boost clock
