Cyberpunk 2077 Quests Can be Solved in “3 to 5” Different Ways

Quest Designer Philipp Weber says that Cyberpunk 2077's quests are more complex than Witcher 3 and offer a variety of ways for you to solve them.

Quest Designer Philipp Weber recently clarified on Reddit that quests in Cyberpunk 2077 are more complex than in Witcher 3, offering a variety of ways (citing Netrunning Skills) to “solve a quest or challenges within a quest”. Some of these quests can be completed in “3 to 5” different ways, he added.

He said this in a response to a Reddit post which translated Quest Designer Philipp Weber and Level-Designer Miles Tost’s interview with a German site. The original translated post claimed that the game’s quests are 3 to 5 times more complicated than the Witcher 3 so Weber commented to clarify things a little.

Here’s what he said:

Hey, Quest Designer Philipp here (not Lead, but I’ll take that as a compliment ;)). As a bit of context, since this was taken from a German podcast, and some things might get lost in translation: What I was saying was that as a quest designer, I now have to consider the different new opportunities we offer (like using Netrunning Skills, etc.) and how using those often gives you more (as an example, 3 to 5 in some cases) ways how to solve a quest or challenges within a quest. This naturally makes quest designs more complex in some areas, but it’s honestly great fun to do. I hope this cleared this statement up a little.

During the same interview, quest designer talked about different scenarios and their outcomes like the one he mentioned in which the player has the option to drop the gun or keep it.

Quests in the upcoming role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red will have much better quality and will be more logical than their previous work in The Witcher series.

As for the development, it’s far from over which means a lot of more work still needs to be done to Cyberpunk 2077’s quests/missions design and gameplay. It’s definitely going to be the biggest game yet from the renowned studio. Previously, the team celebrated its 2077th tweet on Twitter with a thank-you note and referred to their upcoming title as a “really big game”.

There’s no mention of the release date yet but according to the game’s logo designer, it’s going to release sometime in 2019. The upcoming Cyberpunk game has been confirmed to be a part of  E3 event this year where we are expecting to see a new trailer of the game along with its release date reveal.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
