Gearbox Software has announced that big surprises will be revealed at PAX East 2019 event so we are expecting either Borderlands 3 or Game of the Year Edition to be one of them.
According to the Pax East schedule, Gearbox will be taking the main theater show on March 28 to share the latest news about their projects, updates, and surprises.
The panel will take place from 2 pm to 3 pm on March 28 and its description is as follows.

That never before seen “reveals” hints us at none other than the Borderlands 3 which has been rumored to be in works from a very long time. The game has been teased a lot in previous years so maybe Gearbox is finally ready to reveal and talk about it in the open.
Studio boss Randy Pitchford revealed back in 2016 that the team is working on next Borderlands game which hasn’t come out yet so what else do we need to know. Gearbox also showed a tech demo of the game running on Unreal Engine. You can check it out here.
Moreover, The publisher of series “2K Games” mentioned a mysterious triple-A game in its recently released financial report which is proceeding to its release in 2020. This all looks to be lining up perfectly.
Besides that, the panel could also give us details on the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition. Borderlands: GOTY is a remaster of the original game expected to be coming on modern consoles from a very long time followed by Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel remasters on Xbox One and PS4 and PC. The game previously appeared on different rating lists this year in Taiwan and last year in Korea.
The fans of the series have been waiting for a long time to get another main entry in the franchise. Borderlands 2 released back in 2012 and in 2014, we received the spinoff: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The latest game in the series was Borderlands 2 for PlayStation 4 VR and Telltale’s take on the series with its episodic tales.
Gearbox could also come up with something entirely new like “We Happy Few” so it’s better to wait till PAX East 2019 event which takes place in Boston and runs through March 28-31.
