EA’s “Don’t Buy Battlefield 5” Message Worked Well, Sales Down Compared to BF1

It was pretty clear that Battlefield 5 didn’t have a great launch and now it has been officially confirmed. DICE’s Battlefield 5 didn’t do well, especially in the UK as the games physical sales were down 63% compared to Battlefield 1.

Battlefield 5 sales were not that much and that’s why the game debuted at the number 4 spot on the UK retail chart. Now, a big game like Battlefield 5 launching at number 4 spot isn’t impressive, it’s actually pretty bad but the data doesn’t consider digital sales. Still, such a significant drop should be concerning.

However, DICE’s Battlefield 5 has at least managed to overcome the Fallout 76 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Battlefield 5 did come with a pricier Deluxe Edition which allowed everyone to play the game early. Battlefield 5 Deluxe Edition owners could play the game on 15th November. It can be a reason for which the players would have chosen a digital version instead of the physical.

One of the good things is that 50% of Battlefield 5 sales came from Microsoft’s Xbox One console bundles.

Battlefield 5 reviews have also started to come in and poor reviewers definitely didn’t help sales. According to Eurogamer, it’s a complete mess. There has been a lot of negative response about the game since its Beta. The game also lacks the Battle Royale mode which was available out of the box in Black Ops 4.

Among shooter games, Black Ops 4 is leading the genre without any competition for now. Battlefield 5 completely lacks behind. Black Ops 4 doesn’t have a story mode but its multiplayer and zombies are a lot of fun to play. As for Battlefield 5, people are already complaining about glitches and the horrible experience it offers.

These top ten games come from Chart-Track which tacks physical sales only from the UK. The top ten games are as follows.

  • FIFA 19
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Battlefield 5
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man
  • Fallout 76
  • Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu
  • Spyro Trilogy
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Though these Battlefield 5 reviews are not all bad.  Many Battlefield 5 reviews also say that the game offers an amazing experience of World War 2. It packs a lot of different maps. It comes with weapon customization and brings new gameplay features to the Battlefield 5 series.

As a part of the Cyber Monday deals, you can grab Battlefield 5 Xbox One X special edition for only $430.

New Battlefield 5 update has also arrived. It’s the server side update so you won’t have to download anything. This new update brings various balance changes, stability improvements and more.

DICE is also aware of the certain in-game issues like TTK and TTD so they are going to fix them soon. Battlefield 5 has recently arrived so it’s going to take some time for DICE to make it better than before.

Battlefield 5 is now available to play on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
