According to sources claiming to be from Rockstar, Red Dead Redemption 2 is limited by current generation hardware. Which is interesting keeping in mind how beautiful the game is. It seems that Rockstar has something even better planned for the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Scarlet consoles that will come with much better hardware.
Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster is expected to drop in 2020. This is in line with what we have heard regarding next-generation console releases. This also hints that the Xbox Scarlett and ps5 might come out in 2020 rather than 2021.
Rockstar started working on the Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster as soon as the game went gold. Seeing how it will take more than a year for this to come out, I am sure that Rockstar knows what the next generation consoles have to offer and will take advantage of the hardware and additional performance the that PS5 and Xbox Scarlet bring to the table.
Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster is not the only game that Rockstar is working on. Rockstar is working on Bully 2 full-time and the developer is hoping to release the game in 2020.
It won’t take Rockstar too long as the world of Bully 2 is only going to be marginally bigger than that of the original game. It won’t be as massive as GTAV or RDR2. This will let Rockstar make the game much faster.
