Nvidia RTX 2060 Might Not Be Coming Out This Year

The Nvidia RTX 2060 is the next GPU that is expected to be announced and this will be the next generation graphics card that will replace the GTX 1060. We now have a new report that claims that the Nvidia RTX 2060 will not be coming this year. We heard that the Nvidia RTX 2060 might make it in time for this holiday season but that seems highly unlikely now.

This has not been confirmed by Nvidia so do take this with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement from Nvidia. The RTX 2080 Ti, 2080 and 2070 have already been announced and the graphics cards will start coming out on the 20th of September, so there are only a few days left till we hear about the performance of these graphics cards.

Since the next generation graphics cards are coming out you can expect the 10 series graphics cards to get price cuts. We know that Nvidia has a lot of Pascal graphics cards in stock and the company will want to get those out of the way keeping in mind the decline in sales of graphics cards, it is highly unlikely that Nvidia will be able to get rid of all these graphics cards before the release of the Nvidia RTX cards.

According to Nvidia CFO Colette Kress:

We will be selling probably for the holiday season, both our Turing and our Pascal overall architecture. We want to be successful for the holiday season, both our Turing and our Pascal overall architecture.

We have seen that the upcoming graphics cards provide double the performance as compared to the previous generation and if that is indeed the case then you can expect the GTX 2060 to provide the same level of performance as compared to the GTX 1060. For more information regarding the matter, stay tuned.
