Kingdom Hearts 3 Confirmed Characters and Worlds

In this article, we have detailed everything you need to know about Kingdom Hearts 3 confirmed characters, worlds, and everything else you need to know.

The sequel to the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 2 would see the light of the day at the start of 2019. That is still a long way out and we have to keep the hype train going somehow. We have put together an article detailing everything we already know about the game, Kingdom Hearts 3 confirmed characters, worlds, and other details.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Confirmed Characters

Before E3, we had a lot of drama involving the game’s release date. The tease has been there since 2013 and now, 6 years later, we will finally be able to get our hands on the game.

The two trailers shown off at Disney’s Expo 2017, gave fans an idea that both the toys from the kids favorite Toy Story, and the creatures from Monster Inc. will be included in the game. During these trailers, the release date was announced to be sometime in 2018.

Yet, E3 2018 came along and not only did we get a look at the new characters and settings but the official launch was delayed to Jan. 29, 2019.

At least Square Enix realizes the pain of the fans so on the same day the game launches, fans will be able to pick Kingdom Hearts 3: Special Edition for USD $99.99. This version includes:

  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
  • Kingdom Hearts 3 Impossible Odds Dynamic Theme

Characters and Worlds

This an RPG which overlaps the worlds and plots of Final Fantasy, many of the Disney-animated franchises and possibly, if we are rather lucky, some members from the Avengers and Star Wars saga.

That is because unlike the other characters that Disney is known for originally creating, Avengers is the work of Stan Lee and Marvel, and has licenses distributed among many industries like Sony films, 20th Century Fox, etc.

Similarly, Star Wars actually belongs to Lucas Films production and in the gaming sector; EA has rights to the Star Wars universe that they seem to be capitalizing fully with Battlefront series and many other games still in production.

The main protagonist is Sora who can team up with many allies of the Disney franchise including Donald Duck and Goofy. Other confirmed characters and worlds are listed below:

Kingdom of Corona
First revealed during E3 2015, Rapunzel and friends will mark the first Disney setting of the game.

Mount Olympus
The birthplace for Hercules debuted in the E3 2015 trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3. You can expect to see the iconic Greek town along with characters like Hades and Lythos the Rock Titan.

Twilight Town and Old Mansion
The original worlds created for Kingdom Hearts solely, players will be able to encounter Roxas, Xemnas, and many more. First gameplay was revealed during E3 2013 for Twilight Town. While fans saw the return of Old Mansion in E3 2017 trailer.

San Frasokyo
The Big Hero 6 setting for Kingdom Heart 3 was revealed back in 2015 through a concept art. The art shows our friendly bot and an evil Baymax.

Andy’s House
Say hello to Woody, Buzz Lightyear and friends from the Toy Story world. We get this glimpse at our favorite toy characters in Andy’s house during a trailer at D23 Expo 2017. Of course, the setting was not just restricted to the house; we also saw toys battling it out on Andy’s lawn.

Monsters Inc.
Here, Sora and friends can carry out transformations to look scarier (or more adorable?) with help from Sully and Mike. The iconic doors from the film make their way to the game as well, and it is to be seen what role they will play gameplay wise.

Arendelle
Get ready to meet new friends from the Frozen world and getting tangled in the intricate plot of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Svenn. The trailer debuted last month during Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference. It showed off some fun racing mechanics.

Pirates of the Caribbean
Take on the high seas with Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew. Also shown off during E3 2018, we got a look at what to expect in terms of naval combat and underwater expeditions.

Wreck-It-Ralph
Although initially revealed via a leak over at Reddit, the world and characters were soon confirmed to be a part of the Kingdom Hearts 3 story in 2017.

This is so far all we have when it comes to Kingdom Hearts 3 confirmed characters and worlds. If there is anything else that you would like to add, let us know in the comments section below!
