To hype up the release of the film itself, the guys over at Frontier Developments have now launched a business-oriented, park building simulator known as Jurassic World: Evolution. Follow our Jurassic World: Evolution Guide to know about all there is to the game along with some useful tips to get you started on the right footing.

Jurassic World: Evolution Guide

With the cast of voice actors for the original Jurassic Park game returning, this game lets you relive the experience of the park of your nightmares as you plan architecture and facilities in the park that holds the creatures that we love to face and get terrified by.

Your main goal would be to manage an amusement park that showcases dinosaurs. Your main aim would be to keep the park attractive and in a condition such as to keep the guests paying it a visit, all the while you are also gaining profit from the endeavor.

Which Dinosaurs?

When it comes to the park itself, choosing which dinosaur to be put where marks an important contribution. Here, you need to keep a balance between the large dinosaurs that everyone has come to love and dinosaurs which may not be so popular but are less expensive to maintain. In fact, it’s better to have the majority of the second category to ensure more profits as such dinosaurs won’t need as many resources to sustain properly than the other ones.

The Struthiomimus is a good example because it does not demand much food supplies, nor expansive spaces. It is user-friendly and will be important to your business strategy in the long run.

Taking Care of Your Investment

Setting up the park is one aspect of the whole story; the other is the maintenance of it. Keep the following simple tips in mind when planning facilities in the game.

  • Have ACU stations and Ranger stations as close to the dinosaurs’ enclosure as possible. This will ensure that whenever something goes awry or lacking, help is already on the way.
  • Since the carnivorous and herbivorous dinosaurs are such good buddies, you would have to make sure to keep them separated at all costs. Otherwise, you risk of losing some of these creatures resulting in huge losses financially. The ACU station can help in this regard, by tranquilizing the target and transporting it away to a farther location.
  • Some dinosaurs like the Velociraptors are very aggressive and may attempt to break out several times. It is, therefore, best to erect an electric fence to keep them at bay and away from causing any danger to the guests.
  • When you have stopped any threats from in-fights, you need to take care of their sustenance requirement. For this purpose, plant feeders for both kinds of dinosaurs and have the resource replenished every once in a while.
  • You can do this via a Ranger or yourself if you manage to have a vehicle.
  • Make sure you meet other requirements of your humble creatures as well as the environment they like to roam in or tending to them when they are sick. This will increase the satisfaction of dinosaurs and thus raise the quality and number of stars that describe your park.
  • Keep an eye out for any power outages or adverse climatic conditions that damage the infrastructures. It is during these times when you risk of letting the dinosaurs loose and freely roam in the park. Avoid that by repairing the equipment as soon as some damage is done to it.

The Crew and the Guests

When it is not dinosaurs you are concerned about, it is the people, both the ones working for the park and the ones getting entertained in it. Completing expeditions and tasks for your crew and various departments will ensure you always have their favor when you need it most. Thus, your reputation among the workers will impact how well the park performs. Failure to do so will lead to unsatisfactory members who will find every opportunity to sabotage the workings of the park.

Guests should also not be taken lightly, as they are the source of your income and profits. Make sure you have allowed them to stay in comfortable hotels and have set shops of all kinds for the things they may require. Setting up viewing platforms for the guests to see the creatures will help you earn a better rating and thus open up more options for the park to expand.

Lastly, you can construct emergency centers, shelters and bunkers as the last resort when all hell breaks loose and the people have somewhere to hide and remain safe in.

Creating More Dinosaurs

As the saying goes, the more, the merrier. In Jurassic World: Evolution, you can have more dinosaurs by digging up certain sites to acquire fossils of new dinosaurs. This is done by setting up an expedition through the Expedition Center. After you have the fossil and have reached a 50% score in the genome, you can incubate a dinosaur in a Hammond Creation Lab.

Make sure you also set up a Fossil Center because any resources you can get from a digging site will be brought to you. These can be valuable minerals that could be sold and other bounties. You can try requesting for more contracts in the Control Room for more fossils and materials. Some of these materials would suffice for your research team to upgrade certain structures.
