Console exclusives games are the bread and butter of the consoles but this means that PC gamers have to get a console to play these exclusives, however, The Last Of Us and Red Dead Redemption are now playable on PC with the help of the RPCS3 emulator.
John GodGames Emus has shared some videos online featuring Red Dead Redemption And The Last Of Us running on PC with the help of the RPCS3 emulator. For those who don’t know, RPCS3 is an emulator for the PS3 and as you can see in the videos the emulator is running these games on PC.
While The Last Of Us is running on PC but the performance is just bad as the game is almost unplayable even on 5 GHz i7 8700K, GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB and 32GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM. Not only that, the game has various graphical glitches.
The same goes for Red Dead Redemption as the game’s framerate is just not good enough for the PC gamers to enjoy and there are also graphical glitches. Clearly, the RPCS3 emulator needs some more updates to be able to run these games on PC at an acceptable framerate without any graphical glitches.
Since Naughty Dog and Rockstar Games do not plan to release their games on PC, we hope that with the help of this emulator we can play these games on PC at an acceptable framerate.
Speaking of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog is working on the sequel which was revealed back in 2016. According to game director Neil Druckmann, The Last of Us Part 2 is inspired by a Netflix original show.
There’s a show on Netflix called The End of the F***ing World, which is so well written and acted and quirky, and has been totally inspiring for some of the stuff we’re doing in [The Last of Us 2]—more on the dialog stuff.
