God Eater 3 will finally be published on PlayStation 4 and PC, as Bandai Namco has announced at an event that has been held in Japan.
Next April, between the 28th and 30th of that month, there will be a special event that will allow attendees to try the game. The event will be organized in the Mirai Kenyuaho venue of Bandai Namco itself.
Those interested in attending this event in Japan will have to register on the official website, but this does not yet include information about the registration process.
To celebrate the announcement of God Eater 3, in addition to a trailer that you can see above, the company has presented a demonstration of the gameplay. In this video, we see Hugo Pennywort, a new character, and also a preview of the new battle system.
You can see the full retransmission of the event (about 3 hours of video) below:
According to what we’ve seen, the situation in this third chapter is even worse than in the past for the humankind. The war with the Aragami has been going on forever destroying places and killing people, and the only survivors seem to be the God Eaters; however, there’s something else – besides the Aragami – that’s threatening the protagonists. Strange things are happening to the God Eaters and some of them might fall into the darkness.
God Eater can be compared to Monster Hunter as the concepts are alike. In God Eater human race is battling against monsters that will eat anything in a post-apocalyptic world. God Eaters are the ones that can stop this from happening.
