PUBG has launched for PC and is in Preview on Xbox One and while the developers have not revealed if the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Switch or not but a report has made its way on the internet suggesting that the PUBG for PS4 and Nintendo Switch is in the works.
The report comes from a Reddit user, who claims that PUBG will come to PlayStation 4 once the Xbox One version comes out of the preview.
As for the Nintendo Switch version, it will be based on the “mobile Build of PUBG” and will also have Amiibo support and will launch in 2019.
Late this year PUBG will be coming to PS4 once the Xbox Build is Ready to go Gold and in 2019 a port of the new mobile Build of PUBG will be optimized for the Nintendo Switch with Support for Amiibo and will also have Smaller Maps for Local Play up to 16 Players but Full Size Maps will also be Playable Online or with Bots the game will be running at 1080p and Capped at 30 fps with Support for Gyro Aim and HD Rumble (Keep in mind that this is The Mobile Build of the Game with extra Features.)
However, given that this is just a rumor take it with a grain of salt but, it would be interesting to see the game running on Nintendo Switch as the hybrid console is already getting a lot of attention from third-party devs and publishers.
Cheating is one of the main issues for the game and despite developer efforts, it still remains a problem. However, the studio might have come up with a solution for the cheating problem which is region locking the hackers.
