New Avengers: Infinity War Footage Reveals Thanos With Four Infinity Stones

The first official trailer released for Avengers: Infinity War last year revealed Thanos with just two Infinity Stones socketed in his overwhelming Infinity Gauntlet. It has now come to light that the Mad Titan will be able to procure at least two more in his quest to bring balance to the universe.

Marvel Studios released a new video this week to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and announce an ultimate sweepstakes event for the fans.

The content went behind the scenes to showcase the cast performing a variety of stuns during the production phases. In one instance around the 0:24 mark, the footage featured the Infinity Gauntlet resting in a carrying case and socketing four of the Infinity Stones.

This means that Thanos needs to only collect the remaining two Infinity Stones to achieve divinity. There is the Time Stone, which rests in the Eye of Agamotto with Doctor Strange, and the Soul Stone, which is strongly rumored to surface in Wakanda when Black Panther premieres next week.

In the current timeline, the Space Stone (Tesseract) is with Loki. The Mind Stone is embedded in the head of Vision. The Reality Stone (Aether) is with the Collector, and the Power Stone (Orb) with the Nova Corps on Xandar.

Thanos was already shown ripping the Mind Stone from Vision and receiving the Space Stone from Loki. What was not shown, and reportedly came up in leaked footage last year, was Thanos visiting the Collector and Xandar.

In addition to Thanos powering up, Captain America will be wielding a new shield. Thor will also be wielding Jarnbjorn, a gigantic battle axe, instead of Mjolnir since the mystical hammer was destroyed by the bare hands of Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.

Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018. The untitled sequel, presently dubbed Avengers 4, is slated to premiere on May 3, 2019.
