Bandai Namco is Working on Metroid Prime 4 With Star Wars 1313 Devs

The game is being developed by Bandai Namco Singapore, which is the lead studio on the project. Metroid Prime 4 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and won't be making way to 3DS or any other Nintendo platforms.

Over the past days, there have been rumors of Metroid Prime 4 is under development at Bandai Namco. Bandai Namco’s name was being affiliated with the project. Now, sources close to Eurogamer have confirmed that a new Metroid game is coming.

According to the publication, multiple sources confirmed the game’s development as well as Bandai Namco’s involvement. The game is being developed by Bandai Namco Singapore, which is the lead studio on the project. Metroid Prime 4 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and won’t be making way to 3DS or any other Nintendo platforms.

The Singapore studio has some of the finest devs who once worked on the canceled Star Wars 1313. Metroid Prime 4 was first teased with a logo at E3 2017 and that is about it for what we know about the project. It was already confirmed that Retro Studios won’t be working on the new game and it only now that we hearing Bandai Namco being at the helm of it all.

Nintendo is yet to confirm the news but Eurogamer itself is a credible source. Anyhow, still, until we have official confirmation we can’t say for sure if Namco is in charge of the game.

Nintendo Switch’s gaming library is growing fast and the addition of Metroid Prime 4 solidify the fact that Nintendo’s focus quality content.

There are hundreds of games in development at first, second, and third-party studios for Nintendo Switch. More titles are expected to be announced at E3 2018 as well as throughout the year 2018.
