PUBG Is Now Among The Top 5 Paid Games On Xbox Store

PUBG has been among the top sellers for PC shortly after its launch and now the game has made it to the top 5 paid games on Xbox One.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been massively successful as the game has sold 30 million units on both PC and Xbox One with over 22 million sold on PC alone. PUBG has been among the top sellers for PC shortly after its launch and now the game has made it to the top 5 paid games on Xbox One.

The news comes from the head of Xbox marketing Aaron Greenberg who revealed through a Twitter post the top 5 paid games on Xbox One. According to Aaron Greenberg, PUBG is among the Top 5 paid games on Xbox store joined by Star Wars Battlefront 2, Call of Duty: WW2, Cuphead, and Madden NFL 18. In the Tweet, he also noted that the Xbox One X is also going well.

Current Top 5 paid games in the Xbox store, nice seeing two console exclusives in Top 5 as well as big AAA blockbuster titles that are #XboxOneXEnhanced in 4K doing so well.

The game is currently available on PC and Xbox One, the latter being in Xbox Preview, but the studio has plans to bring the game to PS4. According to PUBG Corp. CEO, they want to bring the game to PlayStation 4 but, Sony is not a fan of early access games.

Early Access on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox One are like pre-release, so they don’t have a restriction on quality. However, PS is very strict about this. There were cases where a game took 6 months more to launch even when it was already completed. We are still in the stage of learning the console development environment and console gamers’ taste. We need to think about other platforms after evaluating and completing the Xbox One version first.
