We have a confirmation of the Shadow of the Tomb Raider name and release. Where this is not specific release window developer Square Enix has confirmed that the game will be coming announced at an event in 2018. This has been planned so that the time between the announcement and the release of the game is minimal.
This is great news as fans of the franchise will not have to wait long after we get the announcement trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Having that said the reveal of the name is very subtle and clever indeed. I did not see it the first time around but I did not something off about the text and then it hit me.
The following is the text of the announcement of Shadow of the Tomb Raider from the official Tombraider twitter account.
If you put together the first letter of each sentence (not line) then it spells out “shadow”. I doubt that this is mere coincidence. We got news from an industry insider that Shadow of the Tomb Raider was indeed the name of the third Tombraider game and this might be the confirmation that we needed.
This is really sneaky but hats off to whoever thought of this, it is really cool. While we do not know much about Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I am sure there are going to be loads of leaks that will give us more information regarding the game. Having that said stay tuned to segmentnext in order to learn more about Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
