FIFA 18 launched last week with critical acclaim and now EA Sports has revealed that they recorded 1.6 million FIFA 18 concurrent players last weekend. This is a huge milestone for a sports game that launched just last week.

The news comes from official EA Sports Twitter account which revealed that the studio recorded 1.6 million FIFA 18 concurrent players during the weekend. However, which platforms hold how much players were not revealed but, if we have to guess then PS4 might have the majority of players for FIFA 18.

In related news, the Switch version of FIFA 18 has encountered an unusual glitch that leaves the players faceless. The glitch appears occasionally but, still it annoys gamers. This FIFA 18 glitch causes players to have no faces which is quite disturbing for the Nintendo Switch users.

Also, EA Sports has expressed its frustrations over gamers comparing the Nintendo Switch version of the game with current-gen version. According to producer Andrei Lazarescu, he wouldn’t put Switch version against current-gen versions.

That’s the frustrating thing about it. I wouldn’t put this against the PS4 or Xbox One version, or vice versa, I would look at them as two individual football games. This one’s biggest advantage is that you can play it on the go.

However, this does make sense the Switch version of the game lacks some features that are present in PC and current-gen versions like the single-player campaign “The Journey” is not part of the Switch version of FIFA 18.

FIFA 18 is a soccer simulator sports title developed by EA Sports for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
