Report: There Will Be A Total Of 10 Call of Duty: WW2 Maps At Launch

One PC beta player has found evidence suggesting that there will be a total of 10 Call of Duty: WW2 maps available at launch.

PC gamers have been enjoying the Call of Duty: WW2 beta but, one player has found evidence suggesting that there will be a total of 10 Call of Duty: WW2 maps available at launch. The clue comes from Redditor Trevormine who has posted screenshots suggesting that there will be 10 Call of Duty: WW2 maps available at launch.

According to the Redditor, the screenshots were taken from a bugged menu list from Call of Duty: WW2 PC beta. According to the report, the open beta bugged while exiting the match which let the player take a look at Map Select menu that showed 10 total Call of Duty: WW2 maps.

However, given that this map list is not official, take it as a grain of salt. Even if it is true then there is still a chance that the final version will have more maps at launch for players to enjoy.

Game director and Sledgehammer Games co-founder Glen Schofield confirmed that Call of Duty: WW2 campaign will feature multiple playable characters including a French resistance fighter, tank commander and more.

You won’t play as a German in the single player, but you do play as other Allies. You play as a female French resistance soldier, as an RAF pilot, and as a tank commander

Also, Activision has hinted that Call of Duty: WW2 is just the first game in a new series of Call of Duty Titles to feature the World War 2 setting. Activision CEO stated that World War 2 setting is not a one-off and believes that this era is a “very rich territory”.

I don’t necessarily see it as a one-off; I think that World War II and historical settings more broadly are very rich territory, and I think there’s every possibility that that could become an area that we explore more than once.

Call of Duty: WW2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Sledgehammer Games and is scheduled to launch on November 3, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
