Destiny 2 has launched globally and reports have started to come in that Destiny 2 crashes every 3-4 minutes on Sony’s PS4 Pro. The report comes from Reddit user, Mauridius, who pointed out this Destiny2 issue on the PS4 Pro.
According to the Redditor, the game constantly crashes during the opening Homecoming mission. According to the report, Destiny 2 suddenly freezes and crashes the system and occasionally allows to submit the report. “Every other game I own seems to run just fine but I am not ruling out a hardware issue just yet. Wondering if anyone is having similar experiences and if so how you solved them”.
However, Bungie has noted this Destiny 2 crash issue on the PS4 Pro has assured that the studio is working on a solution. “We are aware of reports of some PS4 Pro players encountering crashes and are working with our partners to investigate the issue.”
In related news, with many games featuring Public Test Realms(PTR) for players to try out the upcoming updates before their launch, many are wondering if Destiny 2 will feature one or not. According to game director Luke Smith, Bungie has no plans for Destiny 2 PTR but, thinks that they are amazing and intends to challenge the team without exposing it to the public.
while I think that test realms would be amazing for things like stability, I’m still interested in challenging us to do our best job without having to expose it to the public. I wouldn’t say never, but I wouldn’t say yes.
While the game has not launched yet but, Bungie has warned the launch might bring server queues and other issues. Destiny 2 is quite an anticipated game and Bungie is expecting a lot of gamers will be playing it at launch which will put the servers under enormous pressure.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter developed by Bungie and is scheduled to launch on September 6, 2017, for Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and the PC version will launch in October.
