New Easter Egg In Resident Evil 4 Found By Youtuber After 12 Years
Videogames are not always as easy to figure out, sometimes the details remain well hidden for many years until someone patient enough unveils them. Resident Evil 4 is one of those games, not a recently released videogame but it still has secrets to be revealed.
Youtuber Slippy Slides managed to reveal an easter egg in the game, so well hidden that it took players 12 years to find. He stated that he found it while he was making a video about exploring the world of Resident Evil 4. This easter egg can be seen in Chapter 5-4 on some distant ruins outside of the gameplay area. When you use you sniper enhanced binnoculars you can see a figure standing behind the building’s columns.
It may not seem much but if you manage to fly to that area you will figure out that this figure is actually a 2D figure of a Japanese man dressed in green jacket and jeans immitating a zombie. It seems as developers went a little too “trolly” when it comes to details like that.
Of course you wouldn’t normally search for easter eggs on such a place, especially using such long range zoom. That’s probably the reason it took Resident Evil 4 fans so many years to enveil it. It makes us think how much time Slippy Slides has spent in Resident Evil 4 to find out such a minor detail.
Noone knows who that mystery japanese guy is, expectations want him to be a member of the development team though there’s no clear word about it. He may as well be a random guy just put there for fun. Does Shinji Mikami know about it’s existence? Will we find out who that guy is? We may never know.
Resident Evil 4 is available now for GameCube, PC, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One Android and iOS mobile devices. Don’t forget that Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch in late 2017.
